Transcoding
Transcoding is the process of converting an audio or video file from one encoding format to another (FFMPEG) in order to increase the number of compatible target devices a media file can be played on. This ensures that your library can be played on any device that supports a modern web browser!

  • Video transcoding processing times vary depending on a number of factors namely
    • Video file size
    • Server resource availability
  • Average transcoding time is 3hrs for 1gb video uploads
  • Any video that fails the transcoding process will be not publish, if a video is stuck “transcoding” for more than 24hrs please contact support@ipstudio.co
    • Most transcoding failures are due to a corrupt or missing media file
      • *If this occurs, you’ll need to inspect the failed file and possibly re-initiate the upload & transcode process
